Graduated cum laude from Ecuadorian Naval Academy in 1982 with a degree in Marine Sciences-Second Lieutenant early years of his carrier served in Navy Vessels (Destroyer & Corvettes), traveled through out the Pacific Ocean as foreign navy guest on board the “Esmeralda” Training ship of the Chilean Navy; on 1986 awarded a Scholarship from the US Navy to study in MIT ( Massachusetts Institute of Technology) completed a Master of Sciences degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineer in 1988 (XIII A Course), on 1990/91 relocated to New Orleans, USA for the building of OPV (Offshore Patrol Vessels) for the Ecuadorian Navy, continues working in the Navy Shipyard & Engineering Departments until 1997; when joined FLOPEC (Ecuadorian Oil Shipping Company) and embarked to the Far east (South Korea) for the New Shipbuilding of Crude Oil Tankers to pursue a dream to work in the World largest Shipyard HHI (Hyundai, Heavy Industries) and later on as Marine Surveyor/ Owner’s Representative in HHI, DSME (Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Eng.), SHI (Samsum Heavy Industries) and other medium size shipyards of Korea and Vietnam.Moving to China on 2007 to work in Awilco Offshore/ COSL Europe Drilling AS for the new shipbuilding of two Semi-submersible Drilling Rig Oil Platforms became a challenge and great opportunity to discover the Middle Kingdom.Technical Superintendent of Prosafe Offshore based in Aberdeen, UK and Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico.Construction Manager for a Well Intervention Semi-submersible Rig Q -7000 at SembCorp Marine Singapore / Helix Energy Solutions Group Inc.
